All Gesamt. functional movement sessions are delivered either at the home of our clients or a community space close by.
Virtual sessions are also available for clients who are travelling or require remote service delivery.
Beyond the basics of a drink bottle and training towel, all equipment is supplied by your Gesamt. trainer, including mats.
Gesamt. trainers make use of a range of traditional gym equipment, that include; dumbbells, medicine balls and pilates equipment (e.g., small/large balls, long/short resistance bands, magic circles, sliders) at personal training and group exercise sessions.
What is used at each session will depend on the nature of each individual program. For example, with strength training sessions weights will be incorporated, for sessions incorporating Pilates, resistance bands and sliders will come into play, and for HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) sessions skipping ropes and medicine balls will be used.
All Gesamt. programs are tailored to suit individual goals and fitness levels. We only offer small group sessions so that our trainers are able to work with the individuals within the group to respond to their unique needs.
Whilst pilates is a strong feature in the Gesamt. method, we do incorporate other types of movement such as strength and cardio endurance training to help clients challenge and transform their bodies, and best support everyday living.
Gesamt. sessions require minimal space. Most of your session will be conducted on your mat, but it is recommended to have room have room to space participants a metre or so apart so your trainer can support individuals with technique during group sessions. We recommend that you select an outdoor/indoor area in your home with hard flooring for your session.
It is completely fine to have other people at home during your session and we can pause the session if something comes up at home that you need to tend to.
For certain sessions Gesamt. trainers will utilise community/ public spaces, particularly group sessions. Your trainer will advise on these locations, and they will be local to your area.
Gesamt. requires that you seek medical advice and clearance before undertaking a training program when recovering from injury or if you have a medical condition that can be negatively impacted by exercise. All clients must complete a questionnaire prior to commencing their program to determine whether our programs are suitable. Our trainers are happy to design programs for clients in collaboration with Allied Health Professionals (e.g., your physiotherapist).
Movement can greatly enhance the recovery process when you are injured but requires careful consideration and planning. If we need to avoid certain types of movement or recommend holding off until your recovery is more progressed, we will advise.
Please advise if you are pregnant (and your current trimester) upon enquiring and we will tailor your Gesamt. program to suit where you are in the journey.
After birth, when you can undertake physical activity really depends on your individual recovery process and level of comfort. If it feels too soon, it probably is.
Gesamt. requires that you seek medical clearance before undertaking a program with us when pregnant or recovering from your delivery.
Gesamt. accepts card payment (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), cash and Electronic Funds Transfer. All services are payable at completion of the session or upfront for multi session packs.
We will always do our best to accommodate session changes. If you need to cancel or reschedule, all we ask is that you provide 12 hours-notice prior to your session, otherwise you will be required to pay for the session.
For groups, payment can be made on the day by participants to help manage individual cancellations. For pre-paid packages, sessions can be rescheduled, but refunds are not provided to individuals who cancel when the remainder of the group are attending the session.
No refunds are available for 5 or 10 session packages after the first session has been conducted.
